Oh yesss, in Portugal we have the best European beaches for surfing and windsurfing! Try Ericeira, Peniche or Guincho, just to name a few. Wind, waves, warm weather, sand beaches! And this isn’t just some nationalistic blah blah. Go to Perth, WA, and ask Jerry, a surf coach whom I met some years ago, when I went Down Under. He went to Ericeira to participate in a round of the World Surf Championship and decided to stay for some years. Warning: avoid August crowds. May and June are excellent months.
