Giant. Extinct. Guinea Pig.My favorite rodent is the capybara, but "Goya" puts it to shame. Stephen Jay Gould once quoted some colleague of his saying that the reason boys liked dinosaurs could be captured in three words: "Giant. Extinct. Lizards." (Quoting from memory.) If paleontologists find enough of these rodent fossils, will girls get into big prehistoric fuzzy things with just as much glee? Or is that a sexist question?
